At New Town Osteopathy your experienced osteopath, Stuart Davis, will always make an attempt to understand you as a person. He will ask about your lifestyle habits and past history of health, fitness and wellbeing.
He will then assess you. This may include orthopaedic, neurologic and range of motion tests, palpation and interpretation of any scans you may have to bring with you such as X-rays, ultrasound, CT and MRI.
Using this information, your osteopath will explain your pain, what you might be doing to inadvertently maintain it and what you can do to help reduce or manage your pain in terms of lifestyle modification and exercises. He will then explain what treatment would be suitable. Stuart uses a variety of traditional soft tissue treatments along with joint manipulation for those who are happy to receive it.
It may be that he thinks other treatment may help you more or may be complementary. He may even refer you back to your GP for further assessment. Either way he will ensure you are well looked after.
The home clinic has a relaxed atmosphere, is easy to find and free parking is plentiful, often right outside the building. You do not need a referral from your GP unless you are a DVA patient. The clinic has an EFTPOS machine.
Stuart always tries to run on time. You will seldom have to wait more than 5 minutes beyond your appointment time and you will be notified in advance by text if circumstances do not allow this.
