Kuoni Creative is an art gallery and giftshop in the heart of Blackwood in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. We offer a space for local artists to display and promote their work. We feature regular art exhibitions and have an array of work in the gallery including paintings, drawings, etchings, photography, sculpture, woodwork, glassware, jewellery, scarves, textile arts, ceramics, candles, soft furnishings, prints, cards and more.
Kuoni Creative is the brainchild of Corina Kuoni who wanted to establish a place where people could come together to enjoy and/or make art. She is passionate about art and its importance in society for its ability to not only bring people together, but to enhance a local community by providing a place to enjoy, collaborate or participate in art.
Kuoni Creative promotes art as an avenue for story-telling and a medium for getting ideas and messages across. It offers a means of promoting art for wellbeing and therapy; as well as rejuvenating art as a mainstay in life. As such, art offers the ability to connect with like-minded people in an increasingly disconnected world.
Corina Kuoni grew up in a small village in Switzerland and was accustomed to the concept of harvest-to-table. This became part of her philosophy for Kuoni Creative--a place to sell and promote locally-produced, locally-sustaining products as opposed to characterless mass production and globalisation.
Kuoni Creative gallery and giftshop brings vibrancy, community and creative opportunity to Blackwood and the Adelaide Hills local area, encouraging and motivating the community to buy handmade or to participate in the workshops and exhibitions on offer. The arts and gifts embrace eco-sustainability, character and excellence and are all handcrafted, locally-produced pieces, brought together to enhance, promote and showcase the local community.
As such, Kuoni Creative is a creative hub, bringing people together.
