The traditional village bakery has made it back to Rose Bay with the opening of Flaky Tart on New South Head Road. Traditional chunky meat pies are the specialty, and no wonder, as the owners are the former Australian Meat Pie Champions. But if you are after sweet rather than savoury, Flaky Tart has a delicious selection of sponge cakes and lamingtons to go with the quality organic coffee. The clean aqua blue interior stylishly contrasts the philosophy of bringing old school traditional fare back to Rose Bay. It is a more-ish bakery, one that ensures you return again and again.
