Rural accommodation midway between Brisbane and Sydney, near Kempsey on the mid-north coast of NSW. Set on 5 acres of park-like grounds surrounded by 20 acres of natural bushland and native wildlife, close to town and the Macleay Valley's famous beaches, South West Rocks, Hat head and Crescent Head. To the west is the extensive Macleay Valley reaching up into the wild rivers area. Fish the beaches or the river, go touring, diving, swimming, cycling or enjoy a country pub lunch, a fine restaurant at the seaside or visit the wineries in the valley... or just relax in peace and quiet away from the highway and the bustle of town life and recharge your batteries.
Full traditional cooked breakfast supplied or you can take advantage of separate facilities to make your own - breakfast food basket supplied.
Your breakfast can be kitchen or BBQ cooked, contact us for a menu.
You will be sleeping in a queen bed with shower and toilet adjacent, and depending on your accommodation choices can also enjoy a private lounge area with tv and dvd player and kitchen facilities.
The local wildlife includes Kangaroos and Wallabies, Goanna's and diverse birdlife.
If you need a break on the long journey between Sydney and Brisbane or want to take a short break away from busy centres like Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour, then Dondingalong Bed and Breakfast could be just the place!
Your hosts are Danny and Sue Burke - we are interested in art, our Australian wildlife, history and travel both in Australia and overseas, and in making your stay with us enjoyable.
Dondingalong Bed and Breakfast is child-friendly (with adequate parental supervision), and can accommodate some pets by prior arrangement only. Protecting the freedom of our native wildlife is important to us and no pets will be allowed to roam - they must be strictly supervised. While we currently have no suitable stables or yards, if you are traveling with horses or other farm animals call to discuss your requirements.
