Neds Bed has been purpose-built to provide genuinely pet-friendly accommodation for travellers or holiday-makers. Set in 40 acres of natural bushland, the welcoming and relaxing atmosphere at Neds Bed is what makes it so special.
All creatures great or small are welcome and literally thousands of animals (and humans!) have enjoyed the hospitality at Neds Bed. With four comfortable units, nearby stables and lush grassy pastures, visitors keep returning to the peace and quiet in this ideal location.
Nearby South West Rocks is known for the historic Trial Bay Goal as well as its restaurants, cafes, markets, beaches, fishing and swimming. Enjoy kilometres of walking and horse-riding trails or the horse and dog-friendly beaches of Grassy Head, South West Rocks and Hat Head only 20 minutes away.
OUR HISTORY
Jenny and Peter had moved to the Macleay Valley in NSW to semi-retire, but while riding a section of the Bicentennial Trail in 1998, a friend suggested their place would be perfect as a stop-over for travellers and their horses.
They opened Neds Bed in 2000 with two units and stables and it took off! What started out mainly as accommodation for horses soon included dogs. Four years later, another two units were built and now 70% of animal visitors are dogs.
Since then literally thousands of human and animal visitors have enjoyed the comfort and hospitality of Neds Bed.
