Maximum capacity is 8 persons, 5 comfortably. The land is five, loosely fenced acres containing a cattery and dog compound, hen house and rear paddock, bordering on Belmont Creek. The creek is spring fed and never dry. The dwelling is our home and we let three rooms containing two new queen sized beds and a separate king single bed. These three rooms are private however we prefer our country views - we don't hide the outdoors with any curtains. Our rooms are bright and airy - our gardens are fully landscaped. We feed native birds and raise frogs from tadpoles in the right season. Our home has large verandas on all four sides and we also have a combination of shed space totaling six bays with various uses. Large vehicles can make easy access to the main house paddock and horse paddock in good weather conditions which we enjoy almost all year round. We are situated just three minutes from the Bruce Highway (A1) 20 kilometres north of Rockhampton. Within the region you can visit the Keppel Islands, drive the Scenic Highway, visit the crocodile farm or the shooting range, take in tea at the cafe surrounded by our beautiful botanical gardens, tour the Capricorn Caves, climb Mount Archer or take a private and secluded swim in the spring-fed waters of Hedlow Creek. Byfield National Park is a wonderful driving tour and you can drop into the pottery gallery en route. Meals at The Caves Country Pub are famous and a visit to Rockhampton's first micro brewery, Headricks Lane is a must see. Headricks and Workshop Rockhampton are funky new locations for the young and young-at-heart, particularly those who appreciate a mixture of modern vintage decor in warehouse style. Great meals, service and wines at both locations.
