Set among five acres of beautiful landscaped gardens is the self-contained wing of Tarn House. After parking in the driveway, wander through the garden to your accommodation. It comprises a very comfortable separate bedroom with queen size bed and small walk-in robe. Seasonal doonas are on the bed, as is an electric blanket. The luxurious bathroom has separate shower and relaxing spa bath. In the large living room there are three areas: a quiet sitting area with casual rattan furniture overlooking the garden, with CD player and a small selection of CDs; a TV/DVD area with a comfortable lounge suite, so you can relax and watch your favourite or one of a selection of DVDs supplied with the unit; a small kitchen area with table and chairs. Kitchen facilities include full-size fridge, crockery, cutlery, utensils, glasses, toaster, microwave, tea & coffee making, etc. Continental breakfast provisions are included for you stay. These usually are yoghurt, fruit juice, a selection of cereals, breads, butter, conserves, and milk. Requests can be made for milk, butter, breads, etc. for dietary needs. There are many places to sit around the stunning gardens. The Monet-style lakes in the front gardens give a tranquil feel instantly. There is an abundance of birdlife and even sightings of kangaroos, koalas, echidnas and possums. Tarn House is also available for garden wedding ceremonies, photos and garden tours. There is a semi-circular driveway, beautiful sweeping lawn areas next to the lakes, fantastic photo opportunities and plenty of parking outside gates for guests. The gardens are fairly flat so it suitable for people with walking frames, sticks or in wheelchairs. I can organize morning or afternoon teas, light lunches and plan your whole day in Mount Macedon.
