Chris Batenburg director of NT Shade and Canvas opened his business in 2001 and it has grown steadily over the years. More recently Michelle, his wife, has joined the team, with a back ground in Education, teaching at schools in Darwin she can assist with all Play Consulting needs.
Chris and Michelle were both born in Darwin and are passionate about offering a quality, local service to the people of the Territory.
Chris prides over his work and always ensures he is the on site manager and oversees every aspect of the job. Chris is a self-certifier with the Building Board, Self-Certifier Number 23929SC. He also completed an intensive 5-day course on Playground Safety, fulfilling requirements to be a Playground Safety Inspector.
