Ngoonbi was established in 1975 for the purpose of improving quality of lifestyle and health and to provide affordable and quality housing to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The objective of Ngoonbi Community Services Indigenous Corporation is to eliminate social disadvantages among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and to increase their participation within the community.
Since its establishment in 1975, Ngoonbi programs & services have increased substantially to include: Home and Community Care Program; Indigenous Community Links; Sports and Recreation, Centrelink Agency, Parent and Community Engagement Program, National Empowerment Program, Community Housing Program and the Employment Program.
