Ben Roberts Cafe and Gallery is an exciting new venue in Lawson.
The original cottage was built by Ben Robert in 1893 and was occupied by tradesmen such as the local boot-maker and coal merchant. Now fully renovated with a modern cafe decorated with owner’s artworks with seating for 50 inside and out.
The attached gallery exhibitions change every three weeks with various featured artists. During the opening of exhibitions various mountains musicians and poets are featured.
The cafe is open daily plus Friday and Saturday evenings with tasty hotpots, garden fresh salads, soups, gourmet sandwiches, delicious cakes and Devonshire teas and Danes coffee. A breakfast menu is also available.
The evening menu includes entrees, various mains including vegetarian, desserts and various teas and coffee. Yulefest menu in July on Fridays and Saturday nights. The venue is BYO.
