Walk past the big guns outside on your way into this elegant old sandstone building overlooking Sydney Harbour with Shark Island in the foreground. This is a localâ??s spot, as few tourists will make tracks here (we recommend taking a ferry to Taronga Zoo and then catching a taxi). The china crockery and silver service make the experience proper with finger sandwiches, jasmine tea and scones. Thereâ??s a lovely stroll too with jaw-dropping coastal views to walk it all off.
