Half an hour’s drive from the CBD is this delightful cafe in Samford Village. Located in a lovely old church there’s ample seating inside in the ambientfilled, quirkily designed rooms, or outside in the sunny, leafy courtyard. The extensive mod-Oz menu features delicious burgers, salads and omelettes, plus an excellent range of cakes for dessert. An obvious favourite for locals and the not-so local, it’s a great excuse to get out of town and inhale some country air. Here’s a travel warning though — if you’re planning to catch a taxi back to the CBD book well in advance as we waited 50 minutes for ours to arrive.
