Inside Morocco opened in 2003 as an importer of handmade Moroccan homewares, furniture and giftware and soon added event theming and decoration to its services.
In 2016 owners Med Ghanmi and Janet Belchamber closed for six months to renovate and transform the shop into a gallery cafe. They have been serving food since July 2016 with their opening event in May 2017.
The cooking is shared by Tamika Wright and Med Ghanmi. Med makes the traditional Moroccan dishes like tajines and shakshouka, along with his famous mint tea. Inside Morocco continues to cater and style special events including weddings, and their stunning venue can be booked out exclusively for private dinners and functions (groups of 10 or more).
Caf
Delightfully different, by day our Stepney cafe serves a wide range of all day breakfast and lunch options, the best local coffee, more than a dozen varieties of tea including Med's famous mint tea made with homegrown mint, and a selection of freshly baked homemade cakes.
Our menu includes traditional Moroccan shakshouka with poached eggs, decadent sweet croissants, crepes, tajines, Moroccan spiced lamb burgers, healthy salads, freshly squeezed juices and much more.
