Two best friends who were passionate about food opened Cocoa & Rose on September 8, 2014. After over a year, Marian and her 19 year old son Jack, took over the café and continue to serve great coffee and light meals.
" The café is an extension of my home. Although I kept and continued the menu that both friends Cocoa and Rose started, I added my own selection of favorite food and beverage like the homemade meatballs from my mum's recipe on a bed of Thai quinoa salad, and healthy smoothies. I also promoted cultural taste by introducing selected favourite cuisine from the Philippines where I originally came from. The comment from my small kids when they visit and eat in the café is that they love Cocoa & Rose because the food (they love hamburgers and adobo) tastes exactly like the one they have at home. That, for me, is flattering. " - Marian Nelson
Cocoa & Rose is a small but warm and friendly café. It is a great place to meet up with friends or hang out with colleagues after work. The family owners are musicians so don't be surprised when you hear a light, high voice humming a classical tune (Marian is a soprano), or a perky rhythm pattern tapped on the counter table (Jack is a rock drummer).
We welcome you to Cocoa & Rose.
