Baffle Creek is located on the coast, roughly half way between Bundaberg and Agnes Waters. Even being close to major centres the area is relatively remote. The creek [river really] is the only near pristine waterway in southern Qld and the Estuary itself is massive. There are no dams, weirs, and very little cultivation in the Baffle catchment. Maybe because of this, the fishing can sometimes be extraordinary. The caravan park has it's own all tide boatramp.
Rules beach, nearby, is a nice wide sandy beach around low tide and has 4wd drive access, depending on conditions. There are also other beautiful beaches on the National Park drive to Agnes Waters [partially 4wd]. The area has one of the most moderate climates in Australia.
