York Travellers Rest Caravan Park has the facilities to cater for overnight or extended stays for the Grey Nomads, couples, families and groups by offering tent sites, powered sites for caravans and motor homes, and we are pet friendly. Nestled under the shadow of Mt Bakewell, backing onto the Racecourse and shaded by many beautiful Australian Gum Trees with peaceful wide open spaces, in a natural bush setting with abundance of bird life and a star filled sky at night.
Being just an hour and half country drive east of Perth in the Avon Valley, York is a relaxing place to unwind while on any trip and makes it a great stop over on the way too or from any destination.
York is also a wonderful place to stay all on its own, situated in the Wheatbelt with a long rich history of being Western Australias first inland town settlement. There are many attractions and a lot to offer in the region, from exploring the restored historic buildings, museums and trails, picnicking on the banks of the Avon River, or you can also experience the fine food of many local cafes and restaurants complemented by amazing wineries that will tempt your taste buds.
There are many Events and festivals that are on offer during the year and for the more adventurous there is skydiving, ballooning, gliding, Motorcycle track and so much more.
We, the Di Giulio family, are the new owners of the Caravan Park, we are York locals of over 30 years, we love our town and can not wait for you to experience the beauty of our Park. We are in the process of restoring the Park to its former glory, we hope to make many improvements and additions over the next few years that will complement not just the Park but our beautiful town. We love to meet new people, especially travellers who need a place to rest, we all at the Park are ready to make your stopover or holiday relaxing and enjoyable.
