Dr Geoff Lane is a Cardiologist specialising in Congenital Heart Disease in Children and Adults. He strives to provide a timely, patient focused private consultation service for children and adults with suspected or repaired congenital heart defects and children with suspected heart arrhythmias.
Dr Lane graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Pharmacy and subsequently went on to complete his medical degree at the University of Sydney. Dr Lane completed his paediatric training at the Royal Children's Hospital in Sydney and completed subspeciality training in Paediatric Cardiology at the University of California, San Diego. He undertook additional training in Interventional Catheter based therapies for Children and Adults at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio and then worked as an Interventional Cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic for 2 years before returning to Melbourne in 2003. He is the senior interventional cardiac catheterisation specialist at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne and has been caring for patients with suspected and repaired Congenital Heart Disease at the Epworth Hospital - Richmond since 2007.
