A Hidden Secret is based in Maude and is a family company created to address the need for imaginative, tasty and healthy vegetarian foods. We have been awarded accreditation to the Victorian Farmers� Market Association, this means that we produce the goods that are available at our stall and have passed the rigorous process of the Accreditation Program, including the point that the ingredients we source for our products must be grown/made within 100 km of our kitchen.
We produce vegetarian tarts & meals which are filled to the brim with fresh, locally sourced organic fruit & vegetables (from an organically certified farm in Napoleons near Ballarat), free-range eggs & Meredith Dairy cheeses & yoghurts. The pastry in our tarts is home-made using only Warrnambool butter.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our foods, & over the past year we have become well known for our delicious sweet & savoury vegetarian tarts & have built up quite a following of dedicated regulars at the numerous Farmers� Markets that we attend at weekends, including Torquay, Ballarat, Castlemaine, Daylesford, Trentham, Kyneton, Monash, Sandringham, Banockburn, Essendon, Templestowe, Geelong, Newtown, Williamstown, Natimuk, Queenscliff, Anglesea & Talbot. We also attend food & wine festivals & have recently had very successful weekends at the Taste Ballarat Food & Wine Festival, Lara Food & Wine Festival, Grampians Grape Escape and Lake House Producer�s Day at Daylesford.
Being vegetarian for over 40 years, we know how difficult it is to find delicious & tasty food, which is guaranteed to contain only 100% vegetarian products, so we decided to make it ourselves! The cheeses that we use are made from non animal rennet & we use butter in our pastry. We do not use any additives or preservatives & absolutely no food colourings. Our products are also made in a kitchen which has never had any meat or fish products cooked in it.
