We provide the best educational start for your child. We use a Montessori style of education, using purposeful play resources to foster active learning, independence and self direction. By delivering a certified and approved preschool program within a long day care facility, parents get the best of both worlds: a preschool education for their child; fee assistance through CCB and long day care hours for those that work or choose it. Montessori offers a choice in the style of education you choose for your child, and an alternative to just mainstream day care services. By engaging in our Montessori method, you will find an ordered and structured learning environment (both inside and outside), educational based resources for purposeful play; and an holistic approach to programming our preschool curriculum around the individual needs of your child. Our classrooms have mixed age groupings (much like a sibling environment at home), children are free to choose materials/resources from shelving and furniture that is built for the child, children are engaged individually or in small groups, inside play is purposeful, outside play is free play in our outside learning environment including water course, digging patch, sandpits, soft fall, swings, sensorial bike track (using all gross motor skills). We provide daily sports and physical activity sessions as well as group learning (based on child interest). In our classrooms, children prepare their own morning tea, set the table and wash their dishes. They learn all the life skills necessary for their age prior to going to school. This fosters independence, self esteem and gives them a sense of self satisfaction. Our staff are trained in the Montessori style of education and are passionate about children.
