Little St Margaret's adopts the Governments new Early Learning Framework for Australia that provides a comprehensive set of principles and guidelines to ensure consistency across all teaching practices, learning philosophy and professional conduct.

We aim to develop and extend a child's skills, knowledge and abilities to foster, nurture, encourage, promote independent, self-confident and inquisitive learners. Emphasis is placed on the development of self-confidence and self esteem, encouraging children within a happy and imaginative program that will stimulate and promote participation in our education adventure.
Kindergarten Programs
At Little St Margaret's we offer two different kindergarten programs - 3 old and 4year old kindergarten. These programs differ to suit the diverse needs of three year olds and four year olds.
We offer two 3 year old groups of 14 children each; and two four year old groups - one with 18 children and the other with 19 children. All groups are staffed by one educator and one co- educator.
In all programs, emphasis is placed on learning through play. Children have the opportunity to practice language skills through stories, play, music and interacting with their peers. The program utilises a range of materials and resources to entice children to explore and experiment while expressing their thoughts, feelings and ideas.
The kindergarten children have the opportunity to experience specialist programs in music. Physical education along with imaginative incursions and excursions as a supplement to the existing program.
