Course 1. Business English intensive course. This course aims:
1. To enable clients to communicate effectively in English in a range of business situations in the classroom. 2. To give clients the skills necessary to perform effectively in English in a business context and in the workplace. Sample course content: 1. Face to face meetings. 2. Written communications including reports, summaries and emails. 3. Using the telephone. 4. Giving clear instructions. 5. Business presentations. 6. Describing the workplace, operations and processes. 7. Negotiating, persuading and sales techniques. 8. Lexis and functional language as appropriate to each client's needs. 9. Socialising and networking with clients. 10.organising a meeting (agenda/minutes). Duration and structure: 30 hours (delivered as 1-2 hour lessons/ 3 days per week) of specialised tuition; projects, assignments, case studies, seminars, lectures and group sessions. Cost: $600 per student. Maximum group size: 8 clients. Teachers: each English course is taught by a qualified teacher with from four to twenty years of English teaching experience and teaching diplomas (or MA/PhD degree). Course 2. OET and IELTS test preparation courses: Busienglish offers OET test preparation classes which aim specifically to help international nurses obtain a B in the OET. The OET is a language test which assesses English language proficiency relevant to the different medical and health professions in Australia. It has four parts: reading, writing, speaking and listening. To obtain nursing registration in Australia, B's in all components of the OET are required. Please contact tiffany lynch.
