From time to time we are faced with personal situations that make life difficult for us. We often believe our problems are too hard to overcome or that we have to deal with them on our own. However it is possible to change our lives, our way of thinking and to tackle the challenges that stop us enjoying life to the full.

* Anxiety & Stress
* Relationships
* Depression
* Grief & Loss
* Family Issues
* Life Transition & Ageing
* Career or Work Direction
* Establishing Positive Habits
* Work / Life Balance
Counselling provides an opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings and it is my role as your counsellor to help you through this process without judging you or telling you what to do. It is about helping you make a change in your life.
As a counsellor I have never been one to rely solely on one particular therapeutic approach. We won't know what is best for your situation until we have had a chance to share a conversation. Together we will find out what therapy will best suit you.
However I believe the answer often lies within the client and my role is to help you find that answer. My approach to counselling looks to a combination of person-centred therapy and solution-focussed therapy. Person-centred therapy looks for and encourages the strengths within an individual and helps develop a truer understanding of themselves. Solution-focussed therapy emphasises a positive future, rather than dwelling on past problems, setting goals and how to achieve them.
The journey to making positive changes in your life can be a difficult, especially taking that first step of seeking help. But the effort is worth it to gain greater control over the direction of your life's journey.
