Usually it is due to something that triggers your need to turn to food - ranging from old habits to stress. No referral is required from a GP or a psychiatrist to join a therapy group. There are generally 10 sessions, each being one and a half hours in duration. Each group will have 4 to 8 members. Members will learn to trust one another so that they can share their stories. Vivienne also leads loss and grief support groups. Loss comes in many guises: e.g death of a loved one, divorce, estrangement from a friend or family member, loss of independence, loss of a job/career, mastectomy, diagnosis of a life-threatening illness, retirement, loss of fertility, miscarriage, death of a pet and so on.
