Mindset Abilities employs registered psychologists to provide counseling for a wide range of mental health concerns. Common complaints include workplace stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, anger issues, work-life balance, interpersonal difficulties, relationship breakdowns and grief. Counselling can be accessed through the following ways:
Medicare referral from your GP:
Under Medicareâ??s Better Access To Mental Health Care initiative Mindset Abilities can provide up to 10 counseling sessions per calendar year to individuals who have been referred by their GP. Medicare provides a substantial rebate for psychological services provided under this initiative and bulk billing for new referrals is currently available.
Self referral:
Individuals can self refer to Mindset Abilities by contacting us directly.
Workcover:
Mindset Abilities is registered as an allied health practitioner with Workcover and can provide psychological support for injured workers under this scheme.
Veterans:
The mental health of veterans and their families is a particular interest of Mindset Abilities given the Service history of its managing directors. Entitled members as assessed by DVA can access free counseling for PTSD, depression and anxiety. This requires a referral from your GP or MO. Alternatively, veterans can self refer for treatment.
