I offer you a safe space in which to explore and share your problems, thoughts and feelings. This can be done in a number of ways - through talking, reflecting and through mindful and other exercises.
You are asked to participate fully in the sessions (or as fully as you can) as I use an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) framework which is experiential in nature. Through this framework we can explore thoughts and feelings, learn new skills and based on your values and goals, work towards creating change within yourself and within your life.
When appropriate, I also draw on the creative side of you which taps into the sub-conscious through exercises such as guided imagery, metaphor building and art therapy.
The aim is for you to connect with yourself, to gain personal insights, a clearer perspective and to experience a positive shift of some kind. This can then be integrated into your life in a way that is most appropriate for you.
You may have a specific situation or issue you are dealing with right now; such as an illness, relationship problem, breakup, a family crisis, trauma, inner turmoil or bereavement; or have a more general need for clarity and direction.
I am here to provide a professional and caring space to assist you in life's journey.
