At Goldwyn Lane we offer a range of services aimed at helping people through the difficult times of life. We mainly offer confidential counseling for a range of problems that can crop up quite readily in the lives of most people. These include depression, anxiety, stress, phobias, panic attacks, worry, distress after a traumatic event, grief, poor sleeping, adjusting to loss of relationships or employment, or adjusting to a new role in life.
People who benefit from our counselling are not only adults, but also children and adolescents. Clients can be seen individually, as couples, or as family groups or work groups. Charges are based on the time taken, not the number of people present. Clients may have been victims of a crime, people who grew up in institutional care, road accident victims, sexually abused as a child, someone going through divorce, or just a person who has encountered difficult circumstances and doesn?t know how to deal with them.
Assessments are also provided. These can range from an individual personality assessment for the client?s own interest and development, to a court-ordered assessment to check for any possible clinical disorder. Reports are addressed to a range of professions that might wish to have a better understanding of the person the report is about. Reports may be requested for a medical person, a lawyer, an educator, or an insurance company.
