Beth Alexander is Clinical Psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA). She is a member of the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society. She practises both as a Clinical Psychologist and a Wellbeing Consultant and has a strong focus on prevention and maintenance of mental health as well as providing intensive support when needed. Beth has experience and expertise in a broad range of areas and works with adults, adolescents (15+) and families. Her special interests include depression, anxiety, stress management, post-natal depression, parenting support, wellbeing in sport, self esteem, self compassion and resilience building. She has a particular interest in the prevention of illness and promotion of a heathy lifestyle.
Beth is passionate about caring for people, helping them achieve their potential and find meaning and purpose in their lives. She provides a caring environment for clients to to discuss their concerns and help them achieve their goals. Beth draws from a wide range of methodologies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Supportive Counselling, Positive Psychology and the sensitive use of humour where appropriate.
