Counselling helps you explore and resolve issues that are a problem to you. Depending on the nature of the difficulties, counselling may be short or long term, and may involve working with you as an individual, a couple or family.
I specialise in counselling using Transactional Analysis (TA) which is a form of psychotherapy, counselling and education, based on cognitive and personal values. I can assist with stress, anxiety/panic/fear, depression, grief/loss, hurt and anger, bullying/harassment at work/school, trauma and abuse.
TA concepts are used by people who want to think clearly and raise their emotional intelli-gence, develop new options and outcomes, analyse difficult situations and change those that happen over and over. I have extensive experience in working within the public and private sectors in matters such as conflict resolution and mediation, bullying and workplace harassment and discrimination.
Where appropriate, I use a Christian perspective to assist those who would like to use the Christian faith, in particular, the virtues of forgiveness and trust to excel in the healing process.
The Christian concepts and approaches that I use are empirically proven for resolving marital anger, which is the most common conflict which leads couples to seek marriage/relationship counselling. I am able to demonstrate a sensitivity to the Christian faith of individuals and couples and show how their faith can assist them in the strengthening of their own lives, marriages, families, and friends.
