Counselling offers an opportunity for people to engage in a face to face in-depth conversation to work through problems. Counselling gives people a safe, respected and confidential place to explore and discuss personal issues that sits outside of their immediate family and friendship groups. Sally's role is to assist people in resolving problems in a positive way by helping to clarify issues, explore options, develop strategies and personal strengths, and to increase self-awareness.
Sally Napthali offers counselling for both male and female clients, aged from late teens to adults. Sally conducts 50-60 minute sessions and counselling can take from a few sessions to long term counselling depending on the complexity of the problems.
Sally is both an empathic and challenging counsellor and clients need to be open, and willing to commit time and effort to the process of counselling. Clients will be expected to complete allocated homework tasks. During counselling goals are established to keep the sessions focussed and purposeful, and a variety of tools and techniques will be used to help clients achieve their goals.
Sally utilises an integrative counselling approach based on professional counselling theories; Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solutions Focussed Therapy, Art Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Behavioural Therapy, Strength Based Approach, Exposure Therapy, and Grief Therapy.
