Relationship Counselling
Relationships need to be worked on, especially when there are so many other pressures on couples through work, and childrearing.
We believe that there is no single approach that suits everyone. Instead, we develop client-centered approaches that match the personalities, needs and life-styles of individuals and couples.
We work with couples and individuals to understand what makes them tick, what might be making them unhappy and how best to work through to a resolution.
We have particular expertise with cross-cultural relationships and families and we work to enhance understanding across what sometimes seem to be irreconcilably different ways of viewing the world. These differences may not be obvious while a relationship is young, but may appear later, particularly around how to bring up children.
Educational Counselling
We bring years of experience in education to counselling.
Our dedicated educational counsellor has taught in secondary schools and worked as a consultant with schools throughout Victoria.
She has worked with government, and in delivering professional training for teachers.
In universities, she developed teacher education, leadership courses and supervised many post graduate students.
Her specialist interest is how individuals come to understand who they are and how their understanding is influenced by relationships, schooling, family and culture more broadly.
She has conducted extensive research on education and has authored books, published in many international journals and spoken at a range of educational conferences in Australia and overseas.
