Gwen, from Gwen Lavis Counselling Albury, has been providing professional service to clientele in Albury Wodonga, Wangaratta, the Riverina and Northeast Victoria for almost twenty years.
It is a generalist practice serving a diversity of people facing a variety of problems. Being especially interested in couples and families as a whole, Gwen sees clients as individuals, couples or in various combinations of family members. Gwen's approach is to view people's problems within the context of their life and relationships and help them discover how to move forward. Issues clients have brought to counselling include anxiety and depression, self-esteem concerns, grief and loss, parenting problems, personal dilemmas, and various marriage and relationship challenges.
Gwen is able to relate to a broad range of clients and counsels clients ranging from primary school age to those well into their senior years. Gwen delights in witnessing the progress her clients make during the process of counselling and regularly receives positive feedback from past and present clients.
Life today is complex and demanding, with stressors effecting most of us to some degree at different stages of our lives. At those times it can be helpful to speak with a neutral person to bring clarity and help determine a way forward. Gwen has vast experience helping couples and families find the tools to repair and strengthen their relationships and helping individuals overcome personal issues.
Gwen is passionate about seeing individuals, couples and families function the best they can and conducts workshops on topics such as communication, marriage enhancement and conflict resolution. Gwen also provides phone counselling and in this case, if possible, Gwen prefers an initial face to face session.
Gwen's office is centrally located at Suite 212a Swift Street, Albury. There is parking at the rear of the building accessible from Wilson Street and a walkthrough to Swift Street.
