I am a counsellor specialising in the life experiences of grief, loss and change.
Each of us over our life experience times of difficulty and challenge relating to loss and change or anticipated loss or change. This may relate to the death of a loved one, illness, the ending of a relationship, career change, disability, ageing or a traumatic experience. At these times, our world as we have known it is shaken up and we may become unsettled and uncertain about the future.
We may feel alone, stuck and going around in circles. We may be deeply yearning and grieving for who or what has been lost. We may be experiencing feelings of fear, anxiety, anger or guilt. Our energy may be low and we may have difficulty sleeping or concentrating. Our relationships and/ or our work performance may be affected. We may be experiencing a dilemma or feel that life has lost its meaning and purpose.
Each of us can expect to live lives where we can thrive and not just survive and get through each day. Living lives by just getting by can affect our health, our relationships with others and our overall wellbeing. Counselling provides an additional support to those one may have in his/her life.
It would be my privilege to be your counsellor. You are the expert of your life. My expertise lies in how to companion you to connect with your thoughts and feelings and what you are experiencing and explore pathways, strategies and techniques which will empower you to understand, manage and integrate these thoughts and feelings so as you can live your life with meaning and purpose and in respectful relationship with others according to your strengths and core values - your authentic self.
I provide a confidential, safe and supportive space for this to take place.
