Sarron is practising clinical psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist in the field for on three decades. Principally a clinician, he has also long been involved in the training of mental health professionals (psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, social workers etc.). Presently he is the Coordinator of the Counselling and Psychotherapy Programme (both on and offshore) at Edith Cowan University. Previously he worked in the School of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Western Australia (Perth); the Psychology Department, Midrand University and the University of the Witwatersrand (Johannesburg). Besides teaching, Sarron conducts long and short-term psychotherapy with adults and children. He has extensive experience treating a wide variety of psychological difficulties - ranging from the 'ordinary stresses of life' to the whole gamut of diagnosable DSM-V conditions. Sarron is well versed in working with culturally and economically diverse patient groups. He has special interest in:
