At Northern Dance Company we pride ourselves on making dance classes a positive and rewarding experience for all students. We have a strong focus on students working towards their personal best - whatever that may mean to them, whether it is for recreational purposes or striving towards a career. We incorporate great technique, discipline and self-expression in all classes. Our aim is to provide a family friendly safe environment where students work hard and can develop and grow in their chosen field. We offer classes for all ages starting from 2 years old. NDC exists because all of our teachers want to help children reach their full potential and have the required qualifications and desired teaching attributes.
NDC offers a range of classes:
Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Drama, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Flex & Technique Class, Dance Conditioning, Private Singing Coaching, Private Classes, Pilates & Adult Classes.
We also have fun exciting events held by NDC during the year including Movie Night, Bring A Friend Week, an Annual Concert, Examinations and more.
About the Director
Colleen Blandthorn is the director of Northern Dance Company. She holds a Diploma of Dance (Teaching & Management), Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, a current Working With Child Check and Level 2 First Aid including Asthma and Anaphylaxis. She has been teaching for over 10 years, with experience in examination, recreational and performing schools. She currently teaches many different styles of dance including Jazz, which is where her main passion lies. Other styles include Tap, Ballet, Technique, Pilates, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Anatomy & Nutrition and Contemporary. She also teaches all age groups from toddlers, through to senior/advance students.
