Lyons Dental is a locally-owned dental practice servicing families in the Inner West. Our friendly, experienced and highly skilled dental team offer a wide range of services to people of all ages - from check-ups to whitening, root canal to dentures. However, our focus is on prevention and protection - to help our patients maintain exceptional oral health and avoid costly procedures. Our 30 year history in the local area has seen us help generations of families.
The dental surgery was founded in 1980 by the late Dr Chris Kennedy, originally located at Birkenhead Point. However it wasn't until 1985 when David Sheen (an old School friend and fellow Dentist) became Chris's business partner in a newly evolved company, did the practice really start to thrive. It was at this time when the practiced moved to Lyons Road, Russell Lea - where it remains until this day (hence the Since 1985 in our logo). With thanks to the support of the local community, Lyons Road Dental Surgery flourished and expanded into the unit above, creating a three surgery, three dentist practice.
The practice expanded once again with the addition of a fourth dentist in 2010, Robert Lilia. In June 2013, Robert and his wife Louise, took ownership the practice and continue to work closely with David and Paul today. Sadly, Chris Kennedy passed away quite suddenly in August 2013. Chris was an amazing man and a highly skilled dentist with a great sense of humour. He was very much loved and admired by his patients, staff and work colleagues.
Robert, Louise, David and Paul continue to work in the close-knit practice (now known as Lyons Dental) and are supported by an amazing admin and nursing team.
