Dr Alan Yap is a Registered Prosthodontist, ITI Implant Scholar, and lecturer at the University of Sydney.
Alan completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Masters of Dental Science in Prosthodontics, with Honours, from the University of Sydney. Following postgraduate studies he was awarded the International Team for Implantology Scholarship. In the Department of Periodontics at the University of North Carolina he received training in the placement of dental implants and grafting of soft- and hard-tissue. Alan is the director of North Shore Dental Specialists, director of North Shore ITI Study Club, and member of the executive committee of the Australian Prosthodontic Society and the Australasian Osseointegration Society. He is also a member of the International College of Prosthodontists, International Team for Implantology, Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists, and Australian Dental Association.
Alan focuses on surgical and restorative implant therapy, the management of patients with missing teeth, and the restoration of worn and broken down dentitions.
