Work with Nick and Carina, in a fun, safe and professional environment, to explore a variety of acting techniques to stimulate the actors' process and imagination and to find out what really works for you.
Our aim is to introduce you to as many acting tools as possible for you to draw upon in order to perform at a professional level. Actors are always learning and practising their craft. This course is a benefit to the experienced and inexperienced actor of people 16 and over. It also caters for directors who really want to know how to get into the actor's head space and know how to direct them well.
- Have the opportunity to explore and practise the techniques of some of our teachers of the past and present and then identify what works best for you.
- Look at the psychology of human relationships and behaviour.
- Explore methods for script analysis and breaking down the text.
- Consider how to approach the development of character work.
- Increase awareness of what is expected at auditions and what casting agents and directors are looking for and how to be remembered.
- Enhance acting skills for screen.
- Explore a variety of scripts, including a monologue, short scripts and advertisements.
- Develop improvisation skills.
- Focus on relaxation to help deal with nerves and build confidence.
- Prepare material for inclusion in showreels
