Savery & Associates Pty Ltd was founded in 1997 by Mr John Savery after he completed fifteen years of noise and vibration consulting across a diverse range of projects in Eastern Australia and South-East Asia.
Savery & Associates Pty Ltd has a strong focus on environmental assessment, measurement, and modelling of environmental noise in terrestrial and marine environments, including providing services as an Expert Witness in the Supreme, Planning & Environment, and Land Courts in Queensland.
The company also places a large emphasis on the application of instrumentation and modelling for noise and vibration assessment, investigations, and monitoring.
Experience has been gained in many developments in the following industry sectors: industrial and processing, resources, energy and power, and transport and infrastructure. This has included projects in coal and gold mining, quarrying, coal seam gas, LNG plants, gas turbine power plants, water and sewerage, tunnelling, railways, and motorways.
The Principal, Mr John Savery, has been associated with the use of the internationally acclaimed SoundPLAN environmental noise prediction software since it was introduced into Australia in the early 1980s. The software continues to be a world leader in noise software and is utilised by all staff in the company.
Savery & Associates created a new instrumentation and software division (SAVTech Sound and Vibration Technology) in 2006. SAVTech is the Australian distributor for the Soundbook range of multi-channel data acquisition products from SINUS Messtechnik GmbH of Leipzig in Germany and sound and vibration instruments from CESVA Instruments of Barcelona in Spain.
