When Jim created the business, it was known as House Energy Rating.
We've since grown our range of services significantly. House Energy Rating is retained a division of Sustainability House.
Our diverse team of consultants is comprised of building designers, environmental engineers and builders. With expertise in building design, energy efficiency, thermal modelling and shading analysis, Sustainability House can help you achieve an effective balance between the different aspects of sustainable building design.
Sustainability House is also a market leader in providing assessment of compliance with the energy efficiency requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA). Our experienced staff have vast knowledge and expertise in residential energy ratings and commercial Section J compliance. To date, Sustainability House has completed over 12,000 BCA energy assessments.
Sustainability House has always been independent. We are not affiliated with any building product or method and we are completely independent from builders, manufacturers and energy companies. This leaves us free to recommend the most appropriate design solution for your building without bias.
Sustainability House is accredited with the Association of Building Sustainability Assessors (ABSA). ABSA is the national body for the accreditation of building and design professionals who assess the environmental impact of buildings in both Australia and New Zealand.
