The AHMS WA team provides a full range of services in Aboriginal and historical heritage, including archaeological surveys and heritage management advice. Our fields of expertise include desktop heritage studies and archaeological assessments, Work Program Clearances, Work Area Clearances, Site Avoidance and Site Identification Aboriginal archaeological surveys, historical archaeological surveys, excavations, site salvage, Section 16 and 18 applications, strategic heritage advice and heritage management plans and maritime archaeological assessments.
Our WA team has recently expanded its skills to develop a strong focus on mediating heritage partnerships between industry and Aboriginal traditional owners, and is well positioned to undertake the project management and delivery of heritage services for the mining and energy sectors.
Our team works in all regions of Western Australia, including both urban centres such as Perth and remote rural and outback locations. We have an established reputation for flexibility and production of high quality work within short time frames. We are experienced in liaising with all stakeholders, including proponents and Traditional Owners. While based in WA our team members have experience in working across a variety of State jurisdictions and the flexible structure of AHMS means that our highly skilled staff often work on projects in other States and Territories.
As a part of AHMS�??s rigorous Health Safety and Environment management system, all staff in the WA branch have, as a minimum, Apply First Aid; nationally accredited 4WD training; White Card (Construction Safety Awareness); and manual handling training and certification.
