Passionate Lives was set up by Trys Reddick to spread awareness of mental illness through the Mental Health First Aid courses and related Accredited and Non Accredited Training. Trys was diagnosed with Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Social Phobia and Agoraphobia aged 14 and for the next 10 years would be a virtual recluse. During that time he had many friends with Bi-Polar, Psychosis, Substance Use Disorder and Self Harm and lost 5 people to suicide.

After a life changing experience at the age of 25, he started to fight back and made a full recovery , taking the momentous decision in 2007 to emigrate to Australia. After studying for a Diploma in Community Work, he got a job in Employment Services, managing a site in Rockingham, WA before quitting to become an Accredited Mental Health First Aid Trainer in 2015.

He often found himself with clients with long term unemployment, drug or alcohol issues, mental health or homelessness and often used his story to motivate and encourage his clients to not give up.
