Live bait availability:
- bloodworms are sourced from Queensland and flown to Sydney alive. Factors that can affect supply are the suppliers inability to dig for worms due to king tides and inclement weather. It is also common for us to order a certain quantity of worms and only be supplied a fraction of our expected order due to high demand in Queensland. This supply issue is particularly worse in warmer weather and summer and is expected to worsen.
- pink nippers are sourced from Sydney and availability is limited due to high demand.
- tubeworms are a aquaculture "farmed" product sourced from Erraring on the Central Coast North of Sydney. Tubeworms are readily available and supply is consistently good. They are excellent bait for whiting.
- beachworms are normally only available in summer.
