Established in 1973, it initiated the first major retrospectives of work by legendary photographers such as Max Dupain, Olive Cotton and Merv Bishop. Today, as well as showcasing the genius of past masters, the ACP shines the spotlight on up and coming ‘snappers’, hosts events and workshops, produces the triannual journal Photofile and has a particular focus on digital media technology.
