May Lane Art Project is an outdoor gallery which can be found in Sydney's inner west suburb of St Peters.
Consisting of five panels hung in window spaces the art work is changed on a monthly basis.
Check the website if you're an artist wanting to use the space or for more info about the artists whose work has been displayed.
Who would’ve thought
a tucked-away lane in
residential St Peters was
hiding one of Sydney’s
most innovative art
galleries? Framer and street
art fan Tugi Balog set up
the May Lane Art Project in
2004; he runs his business
behind the gallery wall. The
exhibition space comprises
five panels that are hung in
window spaces along the
side of a building in May
Lane. Each month several
artists are invited to either
use the entire space as
their canvas or daub one of
the panels, which are then
kept for posterity. It’s the
inner west at its quirky,
colourful best.
