Redlands IndigiScapes Centre is Australia's first environmental centre for indigenous plants. The 14.5 hectare site offers 14 demonstration gardens, over a kilometre of walking tracks, an environmental information centre, conference facilities, tea garden café, gift shop and nursery.
Displays, workshops and events are regular features at the centre. There are a range of tours on offer incorporating bush tucker, bird watching and general information about the flora and fauna of the area. Passionate and knowledgeable staff is keen to share with visitors their vast knowledge of the environment and local wildlife.
The demonstration gardens feature a range of different themes including coastal, scribbly gum, formal, wildlife attracting, grey gum, water wise, and rainforest, wetland and creek vegetation.
IndigiScapes won the Ecotourism category in the Redlands on Moreton Bay Tourism Awards consecutively in 2008 and 2009.
