Pukara Estate is located in the beautiful Hunter Valley, one of Australia's premium wine and olive growing regions. The olive grove has been carefully by developed by Bruce Eglington and Steve Goodchild to produce the highest quality extra virgin olive oils with distinctive flavour and character. Comprising 200 acres, the property borders the Hunter River, a reliable source of fresh irrigation water to ensure optimum tree growth and yields. The on-site olive crushing facility allows the olives to be pressed very quickly after picking to guarantee oils of superior quality. The oils are bottled on-site, weekly, to ensure that customers receive the freshest products. The estate is open seven days a week and visitors can taste and purchase the full range of Pukara Estate products in the tasting room adjacent to the olive press. A wide range of balsamic and other vinegars are also produced on the estate. The product range is further enhanced by dukkahs, tapenades, mayonnaises and, of course, olives. Pukara products are sold throughout Australia and overseas and the company also exclusively distributes the Lakelands Olives range of organic (bio-dynamic) olive products which are grown over the mountain range from Pukara Estate in the Mudgee wine growing region.
