Smart Alex Hairdressing has been around for over 30 years. It all started with Alex. He left the dreary English sky behind and came over to the sunny side. Meanwhile Brian was doing his own thing, he opened Sharp Cuts, a salon in the Hunter Arcade. Sadly, Alex left this world and that's when Brian took over the salon. Now that's enough history...
So what happens at Smart Alex? Because we have a wide variety of clients we deal with lots of different styles, both conservative and crazy. We do cuts, colours, blowdrys, styling (thermal and upstyles) and we specialise in hair extensions and permanent straightening. We also have Smart Alex gift certificates available (great gift idea).

Brian,Aaron and Dee
Brian, salon owner, has over 30 years of hairdressing experience, loves to laugh, likes to sing Karaoke on Friday nights (sometimes in the salon).
Aaron, been at the salon for over six years,loves doing hair and grows his own fruit and vegetables and tries to make the world a better place.
Dee,a beautiful kiwi girl thats been with Smart Alex for 5 years, also loves doing hair and has a beautiful voice.
What makes us so special? Not only do we do great hair, we want you to enjoy yourself when you come to visit us. We want you to feel comfortable, not intimidated. We laugh, we sing, we have a good time, so come hang out with us.
