At times our river of life becomes blocked and dammed with debris from the past. This flotsam and jetsam of life needs to be cleared, so that we can disentangle ourselves from the past, shaking free of the feelings, hurts, and bitterness that have clogged our natural flow, cutting us oft from the love, both human and divine winch nurtures us. Healing enables us to free ourselves, get in balance and return to wholeness.
Healing is an art whereby what is unhealthy, diseased, compromised or unwell is returned to its natural state of health and wellbeing. Basically, it is about love. In whatever form it takes, healing always empowers, encouraging our consciousness to take responsibility for the well-being of the whole.
Whatever the illness, many studies have proven that the psychological state of the person is of prime importance in the process of recovery and healing.
And since our psychological state is dependent upon our peace of mind, which, in turn, is a function of spirit, so the recovery from illness always involves a spiritual process. Essentially, the body cannot heal will out a balance between the mind and spirit, nor can, healing occur in the absence of love.
Health and disease cannot be truly understood by a study of the physical body alone. We must probe much deeper if we are to discover the real causes.
We are all aware that our spirit is eternal; our human experience but a moment. Our lives are like a string of pearls, the thread being the spirit, while the pearls are lifetimes of earthly existence. Each is apparently complete, but in reality, they are tiny parts of the whole everlasting essence of life. Nothing truly dies, like trees that lie dormant in winter, which appear to come alive in the spring, blossom, fall and wait for the next spring, we too have our cycle. It is that unending spirit that we can tap into now and use for our own benefit and that of others, in our work as healers.
