Operating in Buddina on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, I am very passionate about the environment and love to show others ways to creatively up-cycle and reuse almost anything you can find. If you love recycling and nature, you will find something here to suit every occasion. I personally create most of the art you will find on my site with environmental impact being foremost when considering the materials I use. I also stock natural products, good quality pre-loved antiques, stamps, art and much more.
BEING THE CHANGE
Creating Raw, Rough & Recycled is about more than just creating a new business. It's about providing healthier alternatives, educating others, caring for our wildlife and nature, and sharing this with others. Choosing to live this way is generally more time consuming, although once you have found where you need to get things it is quite easy. The best part about it is the rewarding feeling you get making the change.
Living a life that is Raw, Rough & Recycled means the following to myself and my family:
BEING RAW: Choose whole foods, use products with raw (not refined) ingredients, making things from scratch, purchasing/growing only organic or pesticide free produce, choosing only free range meats and poultry.
BEING ROUGH: Choose nature above clean cut perfect plastic factory items that are not necessary in everyday life. Making do with what we have, not owning a car, making presents, mulching the garden with fallen leaves not pre-cut bark, providing a sanctuary in our garden for creatures.
BEING RECYCLED: Purchasing items from second hand shops, reusing items for something other than their intended purpose when they break, peeking into every skip bin I cycle past, asking others to collect broken items and giving away unwanted items to others.
