Osteopathy is a wholistic from of health care. The focus of osteopathic treatment is on musculoskeletal health with integration of the function and health of all body systems including neurological, endocrine, visceral and vascular.
As osteopaths we are trained in evidence based medicine. This means that we provide treatment based on current research to give you up-to-date treatment and management advice. We are primary health care practitioners meaning that we are trained to recognize conditions that need medical referral. Osteopaths are trained to treat all musculoskeletal conditions, injuries or general aches and pains. This includes problems stemming from an 'acute' or recent onset to those issues that are ongiong or 'chronic'.
During your consultation you will undergo some form of physical examination and testing so that we can properly asses your condition.
Our treatment techniques are in the form of manual therapy and can also include exercise prescription and advice on how to otherwise manage your condition. At Reform Osteopathic Clinic we use a variety of techniques including soft tissue and manipulation as well as gentle and subtle techniques. Our treatment is always administered to consider patient comfort.
